Michelle was nominated by the son of a patient treated in the Emergency Dept. He said that while he sat distraught beside his mother, who was brought to the Emergency Dept. by paramedics Michelle consistently explained every procedure to them and welcomed their questions. Although he was overwhelmed by his mother's condition, he watched in awe and amazement as, "this angel of mercy performed her duties with laser sharp precision and focus." When Michelle said, "It's going to be okay", he felt a wave of peacefulness and a sense of ease and comfort cover him, like the wings of a guardian angel. He said Michelle treated his elderly mother and cared for her as if she was her very own flesh and blood, with dignity and respect. He believed the Lord put Michelle in the Emergency Dept. right in time to help his mother. His whole family was thankful for Michelle's care. Michelle is not only a dedicated professional, but also an Ambassador for St. Francis Medical Center. It is with great honor that we recognize Michelle.
