Michelle Washington, BSN, MSN, RN

Michelle Washington was my first clinical instructor as a mega baby nurse. I was so intimidated by being in the hospital, as I wanted to show I was knowledgeable, but I was trying to discover myself in this whole new career. Michelle has a warmth about her that I felt I could always lean on if I needed help or had questions. I connected with her instantly and was someone I wanted to learn and grow and do well for to show the unit how amazing of an instructor she is to her students.

I recall a time when I was able to take a simple intervention of a mepolex and explain it to a travel nurse in my OB rotation. I felt so proud because I was able to share the knowledge that I had gained through fundamentals with my nurse. There are little moments like this that remind me of how far I have come as a nurse. Michelle helped build and empower my foundation to build upon, so I could find success as skills or concepts became harder.
