Miguel Akena, BSN, RN
When I arrived in the MNO unit, nurse Miguel Akena gave me a very warm welcome. He wasted no time getting me settled into my new environment. His enthusiasm and diligence made me feel that I was going to be in good hands and well taken care of.
During my four days in the MNO unit, I can say without hesitation that the dynamism, professionalism, quick response, respect, devotion, and compassion he displayed were outstanding.
Miguel listened to any clinical questions or concerns that I had, gave me intelligent and informative answers, and always showed interest.
He made it a point to stop by my room many times with a big smile, making me feel that he was at my service without reservations, which made me feel special.
During that stay in the unit, I was attended by several nurses, all professional and attentive to my needs; however, Miguel stood above all of them making me feel so special and taking such good care of me.
Miguel is a very bright young man who consistently demonstrated all the qualities of an outstanding nurse. He clearly loves the work he does.
