Mikaela Andringa, RN

My sister passed away from COVID-19 in SARH ER. Mikaela was the RN attending to her. She was with S right at the end. Mikaela was very professional and communicative with me during the night leading up to her passing, and she was also very compassionate. She made sure that S had somebody with her, even holding her hand. She treated S with extraordinary respect and dignity. My desire is to be able to communicate with Mikaela directly, even perhaps meeting her now, if it is possible. At the very least, I would like to send her an expression of my profound and everlasting gratitude for her presence during a particularly dark period of my life. It breaks my heart to think I was just one of the many such phone calls she had to make during that terrible time.
