Mikayla Bendig and I went to a patient's home that was discharged with hospice. I personally saw the family tear up when Mikayla spoke with the patient. The patient opened her eyes, her breathing relaxed, and I saw the anxiety melt away from the family and patient. We helped them reposition the patient to make her more comfortable. The family felt so supported by Mikayla. Her compassion and love eased their anxiety about the patient's condition.
