Mikayla Cornelius, RN

I came into the ER on a Saturday morning, scared to death that I was having a heart attack. Mikayla was my nurse. She knew I was scared and offered comforting words that kept me calmer. She stayed with me and helped explain the tests that were happening and the labs that were being drawn.

After all the labs were done, I was so hungry. She was able to get me some food from the cafeteria while I waited several hours for a room to open up. Mikayla also brought me several warm blankets because my body was so cold. She was so very attentive to my needs, and it made me feel more comfortable. She said all the right things and was never harsh or curt. I really wanted to bring her with me to the heart floor when I moved out of the ER! She’s an exceptional nurse! St. Anthony’s is lucky to have her!
