Mikayla Hartwell, BSN, RN

During the final days of my husband's life, Mikayla demonstrated great care not only as a nurse, but as a compassionate person. She continually went above and beyond the call of duty to take care of not only my husband but also myself and my entire family throughout the process of his passing. In particular, she frequently made sure of my well-being and that my husband's needs were taken care of. She explained well to my family the process and what to expect along the way, answering any questions the family had with the utmost care and compassion. Her genuine concern helped alleviate the pain through this process as we knew my husband was in good hands. Upon our departure, Mikayla wrote a very thoughtful note of encouragement to me and my family, which was much appreciated during the hard time. My family and I feel she was an Extraordinary Nurse who deserves this award in recognition of her kindness which went above and beyond her role as a nurse.
