Mikayla has been my husband's nurse for the past two shifts. All nurses at the hospital are great, but I feel she has gone over and above. Her concern in helping me contact doctors was over and above. She has treated my husband and me like we were members of her own family. She spent extra time helping him get a bath and even assisted with small things like making sure he had cream to keep from getting a rash and putting on extra pads, changing him when wet, and immediately putting in an order when I noticed a small bowel obstruction. She also helped me get a new hospital doctor. She is definitely a model for the hospital's "Hello Humankindness." Little things mean so much to the family of patients who are so ill. She is an Angel giving blessings to all she encounters.
