My three-year-old daughter fell a week after COVID-19 started getting bad, and busted her lip open. We live in Lovettsville and the closest ER is Cornwall, so we rushed her there. From the second we met Mike, I knew the experience, although scary, would be amazing. My daughter, L, ended up having to get two stitches in her lip. L did well and was completely trusting of Mike. Mike was there to not only keep L calm but also helped me remain calm.
Fast forward a few months, L fell in the shower with me and busted her lip again. We rushed her to Cornwall and there was Nurse Mike again! I was 38 weeks pregnant and unable to pick L up. Mike was incredible just as he was the first time we met. If I could call every person at the hospital to tell them just how amazing he is, it still wouldn't be enough. Being a nurse is hard in general, and then add the pandemic as well having to deal with a small child and a pregnant, hormonal mom. Mike is absolutely the best nurse I have ever dealt with and my daughter still talks about him. He deserves nothing but gratitude and respect. Thanks again, Mr. Mike. You're truly a hero!
