November 2019 Honoree
mike earl, RN
Mike Earl is the epitome of the best nurse. He is truly amazing, kind, attentive. He was aware of all my needs as a nurse. I was feeling better then had a decline. He noticed just from my change in behavior, which is expected as a nurse. But he went about and beyond. Extra checks, when I needed a new IV, he wrapped my arms in warm towels, when others just went in blindly. He never seemed bothered or irritated every time I hit my call button.
But what set Mike to the higher level: My son plays college football, and I was missing his game where he was 1st starting in his position. So I already had a little cry myself. Mike had no clue of this even happening. He came in I was watching the game on my phone. He actually looked over my shoulder and said he would be right back. He came in with a monitor and set the game up on the big screen so I could watch on regular TV instead of my phone. The thoughtfulness was unreal. He truly was a Godsend and made my stay bearable.

Thank you, Mike, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
