I arrived after midnight in the ER quite nervous and in pain. The first RN tried to put in an IV but had no luck. Mike was called in to help. Mike's skill in putting in an IV is remarkable! He became my nurse the remaining several hours I was in the ER until I was admitted early the next morning. Mike's calm and positive spirit was just what I needed! His sense of humor, patience, and sincere caring was the ultimate example of the perfect bedside manner. He knew I was a person of faith, so before I was discharged from the ER, I was deeply touched and so calmed down by a lovely heartfelt prayer that Mike prayed with myself and my 2 daughters. Mike asked permission to say a prayer because I knew he could sense that was exactly what I needed for comfort and support as I was admitted to the hospital. Saint Charles is blessed to have Mike there. I am so grateful to Mike for all he did for me to help calm my fears. He truly exemplifies the extraordinary care of a great nurse!God bless him!
