I was rounding on patients the other day and there was a patient and his wife sitting in the room and they just raved about the nursing staff on 7 tower. They said Mike Thomas in particular was a wonderful nurse and that every day that he worked he would bring the wife of the patient a Quick Trip coffee because he knew that she liked that coffee. That small gesture made a huge impact on the patient, knowing that his wife was also being taken care of, and the wife stated that Mike showed such kindness and compassion and it was so nice that she was being thought of.
