Mike Trenge, RN

Mike took care of my father three nights in a row in the surgical ICU. He took care of my dad tirelessly. His care was always compassionate. He engaged with my dad using humor and sarcasm, which is exactly what he needed. He was a great advocate for my dad and me as my father's condition deteriorated. When Mike came on shift and saw how much my dad had changed for the negative in the 12 hours he was off, I went over with him in detail every test and event of those 12 hours to try and figure out what was happening to my dad. His advocacy on behalf of my dad happened when he needed it most and convinced his physicians to seek answers.
