Our 2-year-old daughter had to have her tonsils removed. Prior to her surgery, I was slightly worried, but I knew she was in the best of hands. The surgeon, nurses, anesthesia, and child life specialist were all excellent. However, I was especially taken back as I walked into the recovery room and found her resting comfortably and eating a popsicle in Mike's arms. I wish I would've taken a picture. That was true nursing excellence in action. Being a past co-worker of mine, Mike had no idea his patient was my daughter until I walked into that room. I know that Mike would give excellent care, to every patient, every time, and for that reason, he deserves The DAISY Award. I want to thank Mike and all of Bronson's Out Patient Surgery department with all my heart!
