My wife had a lot of really special people care for her and I wish I had written all their names down so we could do something nice for them. There is one nurse in particular that we wish you to convey our heartfelt thanks to and possibly give some special recognition: her primary nurse, Mike. We know that he needed to have a day off now and then, but my wife and I actually looked forward to the shifts that he was working because we knew that if something happened, Mike would fix it. As you well know, hospitals can be a very scary place, but Mike did so much to keep my wife comfortable and, most importantly, keep us informed of every step of her treatment. When there was a chance my wife could lose all or part of her leg, Mike was there giving encouragement and trying to keep our minds off of it. Words fail me at the moment, but as one of my kids would say 'Mike Rocks!'

We on 7 South East also think that Mike "rocks." His calming, reassuring manner has been recognized by many of our patients and families. He has a talent for calming and gaining the trust of some of our most challenging patients. He is truly an asset to the nursing profession and to Allegiance Health and a role model for all of us.
