Mikel welcomed me kindly as I arrived at shift change. I came to be with my aunt as she passed away. Without me asking, he gave me coffee and cookies. He was kind and attentive through the night. Managing my aunt's discomfort as best he could. He kept me well informed on everything. What really stood out was that he came to check on us the following evening when he arrived on shift. He genuinely cared about my aunt. That extra check-in would have meant so much to my aunt. End of life can be difficult, and he went above and beyond. His care and concern were genuine and heartfelt.
