Miles is always going above and beyond for his patients, their family members and his co-workers. He is extremely patient with the most violent and aggressive patients, taking time to talk to them, tend to their needs and educate them on the process of a 5150. Even when they are cursing, yelling or abusive, Miles shows such compassion, love, and support. He even gets down on his knees to be eye level with the patient. Miles goes above and beyond. One time the ED was out of Dermabond, and he went to CVS after his shift to buy some for a patient who wasn't even assigned to him. Though the ER called him while he was at CVS to let him know that they had received new stock and not to pay the $30 for it, it just shows how special of a nurse he truly is. I have never worked with or heard of nurses going that far for patients. Miles is always taking his time to explain everything to his patients on THEIR level. I always see his patients comfortable and smiling, as well as cared for. His upbeat, friendly, happy attitude is infectious. He is always looking to help or to learn something new. He is a true example of a DAISY Nurse.
