Milissa was recognized by a family member for the dedication and respect she showed their loved one while providing care in her final days. Towards the end, the patient's case required constant communication among family members, physicians, and social workers. Milissa navigated all this with ease. In her nomination, the family member wrote:
"She was always willing to take the time to make sure we knew exactly what was happening. Milissa has a servant's heart, and it showed through her caring and compassion. The dedication she showed to our loved one and our family was impressive and noticed by everyone. I can't say enough about her nursing excellence."
