Millie Dunn 2, RN

Millie was instrumental in coordinating the placement of an incredibly socially complex patient on the unit. The complexity involved guardianship issues, complex medical and behavioral needs (including violence), homelessness, payor and insurance issues, out-of-state residency issues, and so forth. Millie provided exceptional care behind the scenes, doing an essential, highly skilled job with little thanks or recognition.

Millie is one of the many examples of an unsung hero in healthcare, working diligently outside of the spotlight in order to facilitate the best care possible given the available hospital, local, and state resources. We are grateful for her dedication to this patient and all other patients who come into her care; without a doubt, they are in good hands.
