There isn't a specific situation, there are several and the list keeps building. Millie has gone out of her way to comfort and reassure me through what are, to me, traumatic and painful procedures. Millie has gone out of her way to rush us supplies in the Evergreen building at chemo when my ostomy bag suddenly started leaking unexpectedly. Millie has gone out of her way to try different methods of applying my ostomy wafer and bag in order to stop repeated leaking episodes. Her words of encouragement, her diligence, her thoughtfulness, even her laughter which makes us laugh, (and there hasn't been much at that), all have one obvious goal: to ease my pain, to maximize my comfort, and to reassure my wife and I that we are going to get through this. I will never be able to thank the wound care center enough. Millie Newcomer is the greatest asset to Sky Ridge Medical Center and the medical profession. Her perseverance in my care is above and beyond what I've ever seen in any health care professional. My wife and I will forever be grateful she was my nurse. Thank you, Millie!
