I would like to nominate Mina for the DAISY Nurse Leader Award in recognition of her exceptional compassion, unwavering support, and the truly meaningful way she leads our team. Mina is the kind of leader who shows up—not just physically, but emotionally and wholeheartedly—for her staff. She leads with grace, empathy, and strength, and her priority is always the well-being of both her team and her patients. When the unit is overwhelmed, Mina is never far. She steps in without hesitation, lending a helping hand and offering calm guidance when it’s needed most. Her presence brings reassurance. She creates a culture of mutual respect, trust, and kindness that makes even the hardest shifts feel manageable. What speaks volumes about Mina’s character is how she honors her staff beyond their day-to-day roles. When one of her longtime team members retired, Mina made it a point to come in and celebrate that milestone personally. Her presence at the retirement was not only a touching gesture—it reflected how deeply she values each person on her team.
