Mindy serves as a charge nurse, preceptor and role model for the entire team — and has been a part of the HSHS Sacred Heart team for over 15 years. Her nomination stated in part: “As a primary preceptor, Mindy guides our new nurses to follow our core values. She helps support them as they navigate their new role and is their cheerleader during orientation and when they are on their own.

What sets Mindy above the rest is her compassion. She always says she never wants to be anything but a floor nurse because she loves taking care of the patients — and they love having her as their nurse.

She has been nominated and recognized for several organizational awards over the years. This includes the Nurse Exemplar Award, Father Klimek Healing Presence Award, Spirit of Giving Award, and our unit’s Colleague of the Quarter Award. Mindy has been selected to participate in several marketing campaigns due to her positivity, compassion, love of the profession, and for living our core values. She exemplifies the kind of nurse we all want to be, and the nurse our patients and families wish to have care for them.”
