Minnie is a nurse who goes about her job in a quiet and competent manner that it would be easy to miss her greatness, but as a patient of hers, it was obvious from the moment she walked through my door.
Minnie is comforting, she's knowledgeable, she's willing to stay in you room and answer your questions (without ever looking at her watch).
She is observant; she is able to tell when you are feeling bad, almost before you do. She knows why you are in the hospital and how to go about helping you to understand how you can help in your own recovery. As a patient, this is very empowering.
Minnie can give report to the next nurse on you and never once look at her notes. She is a nurse that spends her downtime in between room calls, reading her patient's charts, familiarizing herself with their past and present medical histories. This allows her to maximize what she can do for her patients. Minnie is a happy person and this shows in her care of her patients. In my opinion Minnie is an Extraordinary Nurse and a wonderful person.
