A nurse in a pediatric hospital must assume many responsibilities and multitask while remaining happy and encouraging. Miranda interacted on both a professional and personal level with E. She helped E feel safe and happy while patiently interacting and performing all aspects of her care. Miranda was able to skillfully balance the complex needs and social skills needed to build a trusting and meaningful relationship with a teenager, who is struggling with both pain and control.
