Miranda Jewell, RM

Miranda was nominated by the husband of a woman who gave birth in her care. Miranda was praised for her expertise, her patient-centered care, and her dedication to support the desired wish for the family to have a home birth. Unfortunately, the patient required an emergency C-section but Miranda stayed with the woman the whole time and provided much-needed support. The woman also suffered chronic hearing loss, and Miranda stayed with her the whole time, which gave her great comfort in a very scary situation. Miranda stayed over her work hours to support the woman and went above and beyond her role expectation to provide the patient-centered care needed, which made an incredible difference to the woman and the family.
