She has exhibited an almost superhuman capacity to be generous with the spirit of compassion, temperance, and hope for the other's well-being.
When I went to the ED to accommodate a patient's request, I found the patient ready to leave AMA. Miranda was his nurse, and every excuse the patient had for leaving, Miranda had a solution for. He said, "I want to be in my own bed"; she said, "You will be in a nice, private room with a TV shortly." He said, "I want to eat something," and she replied, "What do you want? I can go to the cafeteria or to Chappy's for you." The patient later told me that the only reason he decided to stay was because he remembered that his mom taught him to always pay attention when someone goes out of their way to be kind to him, because they do not have to.
Miranda, on every occasion I have worked alongside her with a patient, she has exhibited an almost superhuman capacity to be generous with the spirit of compassion, temperance, and hope for the other's well-being. She is consistent, and her care for others does not change. On other occasions, I have seen her speak life and encouragement over children in distress. I have felt her heart break with family members as they grieved their loved ones, and I have witnessed her give her all some days with very little to show for it....and still she keeps coming back. I am very grateful for Miranda and pray that God continues to strengthen and encourage her in her duties as a nurse. I am certain that her generous compassion towards others impacts the world in significant ways.
