Miranda Meuhlabauer is a nurse that all nurses should be held up to. Her bedside is exceptional. Her attention to detail is unmatched. When conventional methods of care wouldn't apply due to my connective tissue disorder, she literally brainstormed and constructed a method; my shoulder, my heart, and soul were thankful as the attending had missed my point in the conversation, but Miranda did not. And she saw my pain and immediately got to work fixing it.
I watched her run, quite literally all day when her aide was sent home to 3 rapid responses. Being with high-need patients and still managed to make sure I was okay, had juice and my pain due to my condition had subsided.
I nearly broke into tears when she said her sister had the same one and she knew what I was going through. I've never been so validated. When my anxiety was high and so was my pain, Miranda made the room a spa. She put on a guided meditation and brought in aromatherapy. She arranged a wedge pillow and my bed to support my condition and I actually got sleep.Miranda is the most exquisite asset this floor has, with no doubt.
