On a day when our department was short-staffed, there was a patient who was waiting patiently to have surgery. It was noted that due to the lack of staff at this time, the surgeon was going to have to leave and come back in a couple of hours to complete the case. It was at this time that Miranda was asked by the Dept Supervisor if she could help circulate in the Dept so the patient did not have to wait several hours for the surgeon to return. Because of all the issues that were presented, she gladly jumped in to help take amazing care of this patient in our Dept. It is nurses like her who have an open mind in creating positive patient outcomes. I am proud to have her on my team.
