I brought my mom into the ER after a fall. Miranda was totally professional and very kind. She treated my mom with tender care. When she couldn't get an IV in, she called for another nurse to try, and he got it in. She was smart and knew when to let someone else try.
She showed compassion and kindness to my mom. She took the time to listen to my problems and the responsibility I'm coping with. She made me feel seen and heard. I may not remember the words we shared, but I won't forget the way she made me feel. Nurses don't just take care of the patient; they also take care of the patient's family members.
I was a nurse for 30 years, so I'm a pretty good judge of character and ability. She is very deserving of the DAISY Award!
