Misak cared for my father for part of the time my father was on life support to his death. Although my father was cared for by many excellent nurses, he stood out to me because he was not only technically competent and a very skilled nurse, but I also appreciated how he interacted with my family. My sister and I are both in the medical field, and he made sure to tell us exactly what was happening with my dad. He relayed the doctor's updates and decisions clearly and made sure we were up to date. Misak was very frank with us but also compassionate, making sure that my younger sister and I had opportunities to spend time with my dad before crucial moments, and also reassured my older sister when she wasn't sure whether to return home or stay longer by his side. I felt confident that we have done everything we could to help my dad and his skills in caring for him was a big part of that.
