Missy has on multiple occasions done the ethical thing when nobody else would want to. Missy is fearless and inspiring when taking care of violent patients, where everyone else is afraid. When I work with Missy, I know I can confide in her with anything and she will be there to listen. She is such a great nurse to her patients as well as a great nurse to her fellow staff. Her life experiences have inspired many patients, as well as myself, to become a better person, and improve on my personal life. While going through an especially difficult time emotionally, she listened and offered her help no matter the time. I know I can call her at any time of day/night and she will do everything in her power to be there for me. 

She gives me the confidence to excel professionally, as well as personally. I know that with her in my corner, I can become the best I can possibly be. She motivates me to become a fearless and caring nurse just as she is. When I think of caring for violent patients or patients who are struggling emotionally, I think of "what would Missy do?"  She will sit down and try to understand what someone is going through to have more empathy. She truly embodies the values of being a nurse.
