I would like to thank Missy Eblen for going above and beyond while helping with a critical baby. I came in on-call a few weekends ago; I went to the PICU with Dr. L to pick up a baby, the baby was critical on an EPI drip. Missy traveled to the OR with us to help with transport and to get the baby ready for surgery. Shortly after entering the OR, the baby coded. One round of weight-specific code drugs was already drawn up and ready. After using all prepared drugs, Missy continued to prepare weight-specific code drugs. She also helped titrate the EPI drip that was already running. She stayed for the whole procedure. She also helped transport the baby back to PICU. Her help was very much appreciated by everyone involved.
