My story began in January 2019. I came in for small bowel resection surgery but while I was waiting to go the OR, my husband fell ill and was in a lot of pain, so he went to the ER. He ended up having emergency surgery. A stent he had in the main artery of his abdomen had blocked and was killing his bowel. He had to have surgery at the exact same time I was.
Neither of us knew anything about the other when we came out of surgery. I was an inpatient in Cambridge and he was in Bell. Missy was a big help in seeing to it that I knew how my husband was doing and my getting to see him. She even remembered me when I came back this time. She is a very sweet, kind, compassionate, bubbly, and fun person. She makes you smile when you feel like crying. She even offered to get me a sandwich from the cafeteria just because the kitchen had closed by the time they decided to let me eat. I hadn't been allowed to eat for 24 hours so I was famished. She made me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and brought me a sprite. That was the best meal I had eaten all day!
She is always pleasant and friendly. If she is having a bad day she doesn't allow her patients to know it. She will go out of her way to see to it that you have what you want or need.
I hope I have her as my nurse should I have to come back to stay at this hospital again.
