My stepdad, "C," was admitted to the hospital eight days post-liver transplant with severe abdominal pain and distention. After multiple imaging studies, they found a bile duct leak, and he needed emergent surgery. It was a whirlwind of emotions, and I was very nervous as the news came suddenly. I went with "C" to Pre-Op, and as soon as they rolled him away for surgery, I started to sob. Missy stayed in the Pre-Op room with me empathetically listening to my concerns and offering her support while tears rolled down my face. She went above and beyond to comfort me during this very stressful time, and I will be forever grateful for her compassionate care. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! You are truly one of a kind.
