BSN, RN
Missy works on the 3rd floor at HonorHealth, and she's the kind of nurse who makes you forget you're even in the hospital. Every time she walks in, it's like the room lights up. She greets me by my name, B, never the patient in room '123', just hey B, with this big genuine smile that says she actually sees me- not just my chart, she really listens. I ask dumb questions sometimes and she never rushes me. She answers everything clear, patient like she's got all day.
But it's the little stuff that gets me- Missy'll straighten my tray, pick up whatever is on the floor, fluff up my pillow without me asking, like she really knows I'm too wiped to care, but she does anyway. It's not flashy, it's just kind. The kindness that sticks. She's smart too, knows her stuff cold, but never makes you feel small. She explains things so you get it, not just hear it. And through all that, you can tell she loves her job. Not just the paycheck, not the shifts, the people. If anyone is worth recognizing, it's her. She's the heartbeat of why nursing matters.
Thanks for considering Missy, she deserves it.
