While my grandmother was at McCurtain Memorial, Misti truly went above and beyond to make her feel like part of the family. There’s one moment that stands out—Misti went out of her way to pick up ice cream from Braum's for my grandmother, who hadn’t been eating much, but she ate that ice cream. It wasn’t just about physical care—it was about emotional support and understanding what truly mattered to my grandmother.

Misti also took the time to ask about my grandmother’s love for her chickens and farm animals, showing such thoughtful attention to what brought her joy. Even after my grandmother was transferred to another facility, she would often ask about Misti, demonstrating how much of an impact she had made. In addition to her caring nature, Misti caught several medical issues that had been overlooked by others in my grandmother’s years of care with her primary care physician. She is the perfect example of the kind of nurse who makes a real difference, not just in the care she gives, but in the way she connects with her patients.
