Misty Brakebill, RN

We all remember teachers we have loved, and those we do not even want to remember. I was privileged to experience Misty training and teaching N about the never-ending responsibilities of a nurse; I was incredibly moved and impressed by how patiently and lovingly Misty trained N. Misty loves her job, her patients, and the young nurse who shadowed her. It is out of sheer appreciation for the profession of nursing that Misty wants her trainees to succeed professionally, kindly, and respectfully. I observed Misty literally being a pure vessel of knowledge, love, and patience, and it makes me smile thinking of other nurses who got to "shadow" her and learn not only facts but an admirable attitude to do this demanding profession, which is both physically and mentally strenuous.

This experience has increased my admiration for nurses and nursing, as it clearly showed me some basic requirements: endless patience, tremendous strength, and energy, and most of all, Love! Thank you, dear Misty, from the bottom of my heart. I revere nursing, the profession of service and love, more than ever because of You!”
