My husband was admitted to the hospital with breathing problems and was very confused. The first night he got even more confused and very agitated. Misty was very professional yet compassionate. She assessed him, then even called for a few other nurses to get their opinion. Then, based on her own assessment, she decided what was causing his heightened agitation and confusion was from not emptying his bladder; she did an ultrasound on his bladder and found he was retaining a large amount of urine. She did a straight cath and emptied his bladder and thanks to Misty's expert assessment and nursing intervention, he went right to sleep and slept peacefully all night.
She was very helpful in putting me at ease by taking the time to talk to me about his condition and care plan. She was even happy to talk to my son (who is an RN in another state) and let him know everything that was going on with his dad which helped put his mind at ease also. We both felt like we could depend on Misty to take very good care of him. Misty is an exceptional and compassionate nurse. She is what all nurses should be. Thank You!
