Misty is full of compassion. I’ve never had a nurse show so much interest in my well-being and health than Misty.
Misty took care of me AND of J, who was next door to me - our hospital rooms were next to each other and I could hear Misty talking to J, engaging him in conversation (as much as he could respond) and explaining the care she was administering to him, as she worked. She was so patient, thorough, and upbeat when she was with me, ministering to my needs, and she also was with J even though he was only in the hospital for palliative care while I had surgery.
Misty was consistently cheerful, professional, and prompt for me and practically the whole floor. I couldn't "get away with anything" - she scolded me for trying to stand up at the side of the bed without help from her - so I quit doing that.
Misty is so professional and skilled at the work, and their bedside manner is cool, calm, and collected (excuse the cliché!). I appreciate her nursing to both J and me, and that's why I want to give her this DAISY Award honor.
ALL the nurses during our hospital stay were EXTRAORDINARY!!

While I was in the hospital for knee surgery, J, my husband, was in the room next door for palliative care. Misty took the time to check on J, help him eat his meals (he had LBD, late stages) and would just talk to him, chatting away, engaging him for a few minutes at a time. She was over and above for him and for me as well. She specifically focused on their responsibilities while at the same time administering TLC to both of us. Misty is a top-notch nurse.

Ok, so I had GI Surgery, and I was having a tough time with it, and Misty took great care of me and made me feel so much better. Awesome young lady.

This lady has a great gift of kindness and always being there for patients. Her kindness is totally God-sent. She is always trying to make her patients feel better. You need more nurses like her. May God always walk her side and lead in right way and always bless her.

Misty is full of compassion. I’ve never had a nurse show so much interest in my well-being and health than Misty. She works hard on her shift and never misses a lick. She always has my best interest at heart. I had an IV in my breast put in the ER, and she had the House to give me a new IV in my arm, and it is so much more comfortable. She glows. I can see it all over her, the love. She’s a special woman with a good heart.

Misty began working on 4N in March of 2021 as a CNA. Over the last year, she has worked as an LPN, continuing to provide excellent care to all patients she encounters. She brightens the patients' and staff's day by promoting a positive work experience. During rounds, I often hear how Misty has made a positive impact on the patients and families she cares for. She works hard each day to be an advocate for each patient. Misty is currently working towards applying to the RN program to further her education. Misty truly has a passion for healthcare, shows great compassion for her patients, and strives to be the best nurse she can be. Misty is a true DAISY Nurse.
