Mitzi gave my child a beautiful handmade pillowcase, and a stuffed animal to brighten up my child’s day.
All nurses are special in this world, as they all perform a hard job and more during this Covid-19 Pandemic. My child was seen at the ER of St. Joseph's Children's Hospital and was immediately admitted as an in-patient. My child was so blessed to have the care of a wonderful nurse. She has been a God-sent nurse. She has been so caring with my child, always making sure pain has been under control and making my child feel as comfortable as if we were at home.
My child’s diagnosis was unexpected for such young age of ten years old, but Mitzi, with her love and care, is like being surrounded by another family member with her, especially now, with Covid, that family members visits are not allowed. She gave my child a beautiful handmade pillowcase, and a stuffed animal to brighten up my child’s day as my child was a bit scared because she was going to have an MRI. I thought this was the most thoughtful gesture from a nurse. The nice gestures she has done for us since we have been at the hospital, now over 9 days, have not stopped there.
When Mitzi is on her shift, she makes sure I have a cup of coffee so I am in the room and do not miss the doctors' rounds, or make sure that I have my food warmed up in the microwave. An amazing nurse.
