Mohana is an Extraordinary Nurse that the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is lucky to have. She is a multi-tasking nurse. When it comes to patient care, she has an excellent connection with the parents of the admitted babies. She is able to provide critical thinking, along with outstanding communication skills, emotional empathy, and compassion, to the admitted babies and their parents.
Mohana unselfishly gives her time and energy to the patient and to her busy colleagues. Her perception of teamwork and strong care coordination are key indicators of being a positive nurse, spreading the positive energy to others during the working time.
In addition to her direct patient care, she has exceptional leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and dedication in neonatal nursing. She is very organized and has outstanding physical and mental endurance to get through a day full of action. Her decision making is spot on.
She is knowledgeable and has the clinical expertise to deal with the most demanding cases. Still, Mohana doesn't stop trying to expand her knowledge.
Even though not obliged to, Mohana has extra administrative work in NICU, such as preparing the monthly schedule in a fair way, facilitating the NICU events and participating in quality improvement projects.
