Mollie has been a clinical educator for about 3 years and has done so much in her relatively short time in this position.

Mollie is constantly looking for ways to improve nursing education. Using feedback from class evaluations, she has taken the initiative to change and improve how we provide education to new staff as well as ongoing education for experienced staff. This past year she helped create a nursing escape room as a part of our annual "hot topics" education for all medsurg/IMC nurses. Nurses commented that they had fun, they learned a lot, and it was the best hot topics they'd ever attended. Mollie also helped to revamp our new to practice nursing orientation, allowing the new to practice nurses more hands on time with medical supplies and equipment.

Mollie is a strong advocate for nursing professional development. She has worked with a systemwide group to improve our process for orientation, both by being one of the first to implement TSAM (tiered skill acquisition model) and by improving our training of preceptors. She is also a part of our clinical advancement program (CAP) and encourages nursing growth through this program.

Mollie is a great colleague and friend. She helps plan fun events for the educators when someone is getting married, retiring, having a baby, etc. Mollie was aware of something happening in my personal life and was a source of comfort to me when I was faced with challenges surrounding this at work. She is supportive and provides a safe and welcoming environment for those around her.

Although I have been an educator for more years than she has, I often go to her with questions or for inspiration. I am always excited when I see that I get to teach a class with her- I know that the content will be thorough and engaging.
I am so impressed with Mollie and am honored to nominate her for the DAISY Award.
