Molly gave this patient money out of her own pocket to help him get back home.
I am a resident on the trauma service this month and I recently had the pleasure of working with Molly Delia. I want to recognize that Molly exhibited such amazing compassion in taking care of one of our patients. In particular, she was able to elicit some details regarding this patient’s HIV diagnosis he had omitted to our service. Within this context, she also demonstrated tremendous empathy in sitting and listening to this patient as he revealed his home situation and that led him to become a patient on the trauma service. As he cried, she sat with him, being present for him. Furthermore, Molly gave this patient money out of her own pocket to help him get back home. It’s clear Molly has a great heart and cares deeply for those she works with.
