Molly was my nurse on many frightening nights in the PICU. Molly’s calming demeanor changed my nights drastically. She made me feel safe and in good hands. She took time in my room to get to know both my husband and myself; and even my children back at home. She had so much patience especially one night when she had to come in what felt like every 15 minutes to adjust my monitors. She never made me feel like a burden or any inconvenience. It truly seemed like she found sincere joy in taking care of me. I so trusted her because I saw her react calmly and professionally in crisis situations happening around me. She is the epitome of what a nurse is and knew exactly how to balance taking great care of me as well as giving me my space. I did however greatly appreciate how she never rushed out of my room and took incredible care but consistently asked what she could do to help me be more comfortable.

After I left the PICU and spent many days over in the NICU I went back to tell her “thank you”. I was amazed that she remembered my new baby’s name and my children at home. She is an excellent and highly skilled nurse that truly made a huge impact during my time in the hospital. She is a gem and I hope that Premier and Miami Valley Hospital know how precious she is to all her patients and families.
