Molly has shown compassion for nursing throughout each clinical experience. On her first day in the ICU, she called for a patient who was sedated and intubated. To make a connection with her patient, Molly searched for a book to read to her patient. When one was not found, she still made a point to talk to her patient even though he was unable to communicate back. She ended up finding a book of poems to donate to the ICU so future nurses and family members can read to them.

If Molly had a change in patient assignment, she always followed up with her previous patient, going in to check on them and see how their care was. She has been a world of comfort to family members struggling with loss within the ICU. She takes the time to get to know more about the patient, treating them as more than a medical diagnosis. She finds out about their family, their interests, and who they are. Molly recently helped bathe a patient, who ended up coding and passing away. She helped to create a vial with the patient's heartbeat in it to give to help provide comfort. Molly consistently shows what it means to be a nurse and the heart, compassion, and kindness to make a difference.

Thank you, Molly, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
