Molly Merkert, RN

I live in Florida but while visiting family in Vermont, I fell and broke my femur. Molly was my nurse on several shifts. She combined a sense of medical knowledge and sensitive care. She explains procedures with understanding and welcomes questions. She was quite sympathetic to my situation of being so far from home. She has a great sense of humor and irony, which helped me forget my dilemma. There was friendly banter between her and other caregivers, which again was a wonderful distraction. My incapacitation inevitably led to intimate procedures that I had not experienced before. She was straightforward and down to earth about these situations, which eased the initial embarrassment. I have been in hospitals many times as a caregiver and patient. Molly is the best nurse I have encountered.
