The patient had surgery and was being discharged late in the evening. The prescription was faxed without asking the patient her preference. When the filled prescription arrived, no one in the family had any money. The husband told the pharmacy tech he would pick it up later, (it was late evening and a long distance from their home). Afraid the patient would have to do without pain medication; Molly offered and paid for the script. The family was extremely grateful.
