Ramona performs her scope of work as a nurse educator for her target population with excellence and with a passion. This is reflected in the yearly outcomes data which measures her clinical encounters for the target population. Mona's track record in reaching and intervening with referred patients has been 100%. She tracks her target population multiple ways and does not wait for a provider to inform her of a high-risk pregnant woman with diabetes. In addition to reaching and connecting with the patient, she provides a comprehensive education on diabetes self-management, establishes target goals with each patient, and case manages these patients throughout their pregnancy.
Most recently one of the greeters at WIHCC informed Ramona's supervisor of a patient complement regarding Ramona's education services and case management. In summary, the patient stated 'Ramona is not full of crap. She is very good, she puts the patients first and meets the patients' needs, and is a greater provider.'
