January 2021 Honoree
Mona Soleimanieh, BSN, RN
Mona was/is the charge nurse for my father with esophageal cancer metastatic to the liver. I am a doctor and in that capacity, I work with all manner of infectious agents. Maybe it is slightly malapropos to say this during a pandemic but, Mona’s warmth, enthusiasm helpfulness, and most importantly, compassion are contagious. Her demeanors made the nurse and the nursing assistant who were working with my father try even harder. As a doctor/hospitalist I have worked with many nurses in my 15 years of practice and many charge nurses and I say sincerely and heartfelt that Mona is one of the very, very best. Mona’s warmth is infectious and her kindness is contagious and in these uncertain times, we can all use a lot more of that.
Thank you, Mona, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
