Monica just had a very motherly feeling about herself. She explained my child's condition to me in such a way it made it very easy for me to understand. 'Trees and Bushes' I'll never forget that. She made my child and myself feel right at home and validated. My child now loves the 'Project Linus' blanket Monica brought them as well—compassionate, positive, loving, and understanding. Relatable nurses really make a difference in one's recovery. Thank you so much, Monica!

Monica is an amazing nurse. She asked for consent prior to giving information to a family member, to which I said no. She proceeded to remain professional as the family member expressed frustration about the decision. Monica took the time to explain everything that was happening, even suggesting a specific test be done to help diagnose my child. When the results were back, Monica explained the diagnosis using pictures and other helpful resources to ensure that my child's other parent and I understood exactly what was going on. I wish we could make 100 more nurses just like Monica. Her knowledge and compassion she shares for the kids on her floor is evident, and she made my child's stay less stressful. We were blessed to have had her as our nurse.
